In this blog post, Veeam Data Platform 23H2 A Deep Dive into the Latest Features, I will discuss the new Veeam Backup & Replication v12.1 version launched last December. Still, I will also touch on the v12.0 features I discussed in the previous posts about Veeam. Veeam Backup & Replication v12.1 is the up-to-date version of this technology for data protection. It focuses on ensuring the security of your information, offering improved measures to safeguard it effectively. Additionally, this updates efficiency by optimizing resource usage, resulting in more efficient backup and recovery processes. But that’s not all; Veeam Backup & Replication 12.1 introduces features that make data protection and recovery more convenient and powerful. Noteworthy functionalities include Instant Recovery for restoration of VMware machines, support for long-term data retention in AWS S3 Glacier and Azure Blob Archive storage, a simplified licensing process with the Veeam Universal License, and enhanced NAS backup capabilities. Moreover, the Continuous Data Protection (CDP) feature ensures data loss during disasters, making Veeam 12.1 an encompassing solution for robust data protection. Veeam Data Platform 23H2 includes Veeam Backup Enterprise Manager, Veeam Backup & Replication, and Veeam ONE.
